What Does My Website Rank
These are actually big questions among a lot of new comers to the webpage world. What does my website rank? How many links
do I have from other sites? This information is crucial to the development of your site and its ability to make money!
My experience so far from direct contact from companies that want to advertise with me there first questions are those above and they will verify what you say before the contract is signed so know use in lying and they use Google’s verification for the most part. Even if other services state a rating they will always go with the King – Mr. Google.
Below I listed the purest forms of checking your website stats for Google which everyone holds to the highest standards these since Google is King Searcher of the Net:
Indexed Pages by Google:
Input into Google search bar - Site:your-site-url
Backlinks to Your Site:
Input into Google search bar - Link:your-site-url
Alexa Rating:
Tells where you site ranks on the net according to Alexa’s method which is faulty.
Page Rank for Google:
Download Google Tool bar and select install Page Rank. Their tool bar is great because it shows the ranking of every site that you are browsing.

Nice list. You may want to include ways to check your technorati ranking as well. It seems many sites are beginning to use them to determine a blogs popularity.
How effective are kontera text links?
Alexa is a truckload of crap. Really.
Thank goodness you haven’t added the Technorati stuff. They are almost exclusively serving for top 100 bloggers.
Back from the Maldives now:
Kontera not bad so far but you need loads of traffic the same as adsense.. Technorati yeah figures, but I will just keep working on the the top 100 position - I will get there some day.
Alexa is pretty awful - a nice alternative is Compete. I describe the two on my blog at:
