Time Stamp Your Blog Posts
Ever wonder what people do when they go away on holiday or have to work but they want their blog to carry on with daily articles at certain times of the day? So far since starting Ja Kel Daily Dot Com I have
been averaging one article daily Monday – Saturday and I work fulltime and my articles post around 1130-1230 depending the time I decide to timestamp them at the time of writing and posting. The timestamp allows me to stay on top of my blog and at times I will can be two three days ahead, meaning two to three articles in the timestamp queue.
The Wordpress timestamp feature is extremely easy to use. Just write your post like normal and instead I clicking publish in the bottom right side bar you will see timestamp and you can select the month date and hour you want the article to be published. So that means your article will not show on the front page until the time you select is present time and day.
So you are reading this post but I actually I wrote it 3 Apr 2007. At the momment my wife and I are dropping our kids off at the grandparents in London and afterwards on our way to Heathrow Airport today in route to the Maldives. Yes that’s right but my blog is still posting articles this one being the first article to post while we are on holiday at a 5 star resort Anantara in the Maldives for the next 10 days.
Unfortunately I will not be responding to comments for the next 10 days and I only had time to pre-write articles up to the 19th of April. Sorry in advance but the 19th-23rd there will not be any articles posted. I will resume posting on the 24th. Anyway I’m off to catch some sun now and no computers are allowed on my beach, later.

I do this too when I can’t get to a computer that night.
Have fun on your vacation!
Hm…are you still on vaccation?
Anyways, it is another of those which I saw on JohnChow.
But then, this is not stealing….timestamp is a regular feature of WP anyway.
Back from the Maldives Now: (catching up on comments today)
Jon Lee stop using Time Stamp Chow uses it you may be label as a copy cat and you would not want that and in fact he uses Word Press better start using blogger.
I am wondering how long it will be until people stop making comparisons?
Tomorrow I was actually thinking about uploading a few food pictures from the Maldives but I am sure he has already eaten it before and that would be copying also..
