One Two Three bla.st Off
What exactly is bla.st well if you remember not long ago the million dollar homepage and how successful Alex was at making a million dollars and receiving more publicity than you could imagine from the media. Well this is very similar with the exception that they are not selling pixels at $1each with a minimum of 100 to purchase. You can upload a file that is 270 x 165 pixels which if you done the math you know already that it would have cost you $44550 on Alex’s million dollar page. bla.st however is giving this ad space away for free to you from 1 day to 10 years.
What’s the catch you may say why is the ad space free. Well there is the exception of the first ad which is bigger and in the number one spot and will cost you if you want it. At the time of writing this review the number one spot will cost you $1.58 to secure it. Also if you want your ad to show on their front page then you are going to have to bid against other advertisers in order to secure a front page listing.
bla.st is relatively new and at the moment it only has 731 cards that have been uploaded as of today. You can ad your image card into sections which include company, business, event, sale or promotion, product, website, blog, non-profit organization or club.
If you are not interested in getting your ad on the front page then place bids for location positioning in different categories; such as blog, advertising, restaurant and internet. Depending on the amount that you place for the bid will determine which spot you receive, say for example you bid .50 cents this may get you the number two spot for the advertising category.

At the moment if you are wanting to be on the front page of bla.st then you can get it for .02 cents a day but I am sure this price will continue to grow as the site becomes more popular. When I checked Alexa the sites ranking was at 61,908 so as the site grows in popularity the price will more than likely increase for front page adverting.
If by chance you were wondering were the .st domain comes from. There is a small island by the name of São Tomé & Principe. Are you thinking at the moment that you may want a domain ending in .st then it is possible because there isn’t a requirement of being a resident in order to get it and that is what New Zealander, Tim Bromhead has done.

Kinda like wepoststuff dot com I saw you listed on there. I paid up $4 for my listing although have no traffic from it yet so am a bit sceptical, what do you think?
Bla.st you can get on it for free if they still have there review special, which is what I did to get on it.
The wepoststuff I purchased that link just for a link on a PR4 site and paid the extra $2 just to stay on the front page for a little while.
I tried Bla.st when I heard about it on John Chow’s blog a month or two ago. I think it had a lot of promise and if it had got to the front page of Digg it might have really taken off. But, from what i’ve noticed, lack of participation seems to be the killer for this service. But eh, its free, so you might as well get a card up… no harm, no foul.
