No Analysis or Insight - Just Negative

Kevan has now had a change in mood and has apologized completely and has definitely restored his reputation as a blogger with some morals.

Thank you for such a negative review, Kevan Gilbert .  My review of you not your blog; No Analysis or Insight - Just a Negative Person. The first thing I would like to address that you stated that you are a guy that likes to read but obviously did not read my post at all when you decided to exchange links because of the criticism you gave in your email about the short link and review.

Your Email:
That’s a review? It’s one sentence long, and offers no analysis or insight, or even any indication that you even visited my site long enough to do anything more than copy-and-paste an excerpt from my “about” section. How about this: ignore my initial request to include that Southwest Airlines sentence, and instead give your actual opinion of my website. Will that work?

The name of my site is simple and states that Ja stands for Jason and Kel stands for Kelly.  As for the layout of my site maybe you have not noticed but the Misty 3.1 Wordpress layout has been downloaded over 30,000 times and John Chow was more than likely not the first to have downloaded it.  As far as the Adsense ads on my site they are placed in positions where statistics show to be the best place to input them.  If you were to click on the link at the end of the about me it would direct you to my first post where I state what I am writing about and then you would see what direction I intend to write my blog articles.  A blog is a personal journey and you can write about whatever you want, some people may want to read it and some may not, just as you have blatantly pointed out that you think my blog is crap. You are entitled to your opinion as I am to mine and I personally think you are a negative person with nothing better to do.

One more note if my sole purpose was to just trick people to click ads that would be a sad case considering it takes millions of page views to make enough money from Adsense to even be worth my time to even turn on the computer in the first place.  The idea behind my blog; it’s just a hobby and not a profit making venture that I hope to be my golden ticket.

    Hi Jason,

Thanks for saying how you were feeling. I’m sorry I was so hasty in trashing your site, without reading it more in-depth first. I can see that I offended you. And who wouldn’t be offended? I pretty much dismissed everything you’re passionate about, and that’s one of the most negating and obliterating acts one human can do to another, even if it IS over the web.

Anyway, I really do apologize for the cocky and mean-spirited blog post. It was out of character and un-called for. I’ll be taking my post down immediately.

It was not a matter of being offended and the review being negative. I do not mind negative reviews but at least when being negative there could have been some type of constructive criticism behind, basically how you would make things better. You can leave your review as is if you like and maybe ad some constructive criticism on what you would fix.

You’re right, and I totally understand. I’ve replaced my original review with a brand new one. Please have a look at it and let me know if it’s adequately constructive:

Review and apology accepted. I have also updated my review on batch 1 and opinion of you. I am almost certain however that you are still cocky but that’s ok in my book.

Hey, thanks Jason. Too bad I still get the “cocky” label, but you win some, you lose some, right? :)

I think I am pretty late to even dig out whatever happened between you guys. I tried to check out what exactly was the first review by Kevan, but could not find the brand new second one as well…
