Million Dollar Homepage Our Small Slice of Internet History

Yes believe or not Ja Kel actually has a space slice on the famous Million Dollar Homepage and I used url forwarding to forward our jakelneuman.com url to Ja Kel Daily some time back when I first wrote this article on our media blog! We decided when it came out that maybe this site would be a great place to get traffic for our clothing business and although it did bring in several thousand visitors per month it did nothing for sells, given that customers were just clicking at random not really looking for anything in particular. Oh well call me stupid if you must, my wife did anyway for actually spending the money on this small slice of internet history.

Now that I look back on it I am actually glad the name Ja Kel is on his webpage given the fact that it stays up for 5 years and I bet this entrepreneur genius idea will more than likely end up in textbooks for years to come. So I guess if look at it in that way it is kind of cool in a way, I think anyway. It is not really any worst than paying Google AdSense for 500 clicks if you want to look at it from that perspective, yeah I know but Google’s Ads are targeted traffic ads.

Anyway have look at the pixel collage that made Alex Tew a Million Dollars!

    Hi Jason,

    Interesting to read that, I just wrote an article on Pixel Lotto the successor to the Million Dollar Homepage, I think Ill link to this article from it.

    One of the reasons Pixel Lotto failed IMO is exactly the issue you describe regarding random clicks.

    BTW, you might want to turn your permalinks on :-)

    Yes it was really sad of me to forget about permalinks and put it on the back of list and basically forget about it. Anyway I have corrected it today and also posted an article about it.
