Make Money Online or Go Bankrupt Trying

Founded in 2003 for $10 million Feedburner the king of RSS Feeds is in the closing stages of being sold to Google for approximately $100 million. In fours years $90 million gain now that is making money online! I wonder if Google plans to replace or update Feedburner ads with something new, like gAdFeeds. Well I guess Google is one step closer to owning the entire net.

Then on the other side of the net universe the “Bankrupt Jerk” formally none as the “Rich Jerk” has decided to see his business and it is listed at BizQuest.com for some pocket change of just $8 million. That’s too bad for the Jerk but that’s what happens when you want to get rich quick and you end up spending everything on advertisement. Source: ShoeMoney

Ja Kel Daily Update:  The site is doing well just yesterday Technorati fixed my site’s listing error (Rank:19,206) and I managed to accept 10 campaign Review Me reviews this month, pays less but good for promoting your review me category! I am definitely not a money maker like Google but at-least I’m not an arrogant Jerk that ended up going bankrupt in the end.

OUCH! That really sucks for the Rich Jerk. Nothing can last forever, he should’ve saved his money instead of spending it all as soon as it came in.

Just goes to show that in order to be successful online and stay successful you must also know how to manager yourself and your online business expenses.

I know it’s important to advertise as well while you are making money in your online business. But this advertising expenses should be some %age of the income not everything. As far as I could, I try to avoid spending money on advertising till the time I don’t explore all the possible ways of marketing my blog on my own.

Off Topic, but what happened to your Technorati authority and ranking?

Says you have -0- authority and that I am your only fan.

    Jason,
Now Technorati says you have authority of “1″ and a rank of 3,915,745. This is crazy…What happened?

Rich Jerk always did seem to be more hype than substance. I read an early edition of his book, and while it wasn’t exactly bad information, it wasn’t exactly the quality of information I’d expect to pay for. It was mostly information thats freely available online if you know where to look.

He did have a catchy “reverse psychology” hook that catches people’s attention, and he advertised his program effectively ; Who hasn’t heard of the “rich jerk” ?

I wonder how much he sold his business for, or if putting it for sale at that price was just a publicity stunt. Hard to tell with someone like that.
