Ja Kel Daily Forum New Webmasters Board

I started the forum October 21, 2006 at the request of my wife for her site.  Yesterday was the first time in around 3 months that I’d visited the forum since creating it.  After checking the stats I was surprised to see that it’s a PR4 and has 132 Posts in 88 Topics by 181 Members not bad considering I have not done anything with it in 8 months.

This got me thinking that I should start catering to my readers more on the forum and add a new section called Buy Sell Trade for Webmasters.  Unlike other technical related forums I do not have a minimum post or time restriction for posting your links to your sites and using all sections of the forum.

The new forum board Buy Sell Trade for Webmasters has several topics to include; sites, freebies, link sales, link exchange, services, templates, content, domains, and contests.

The sign up process is really simple just input a working email address, a password, click agree to user agreement and then click register.  You will immediately receive an email verification just click the link in the email and then login.

    Interesting, it seems like if you build it, they will come :)

    I also think that forums is a good tool to attract new readers, or let them to discuss what is not possible by writing comments for an article…

    Backlinks is the number one key to page rank and then you have to wait for Google to do their evaluation of rankings.

    Hi Jason, Thanks a lot for ur quick response. One more question, do i need to backlink with the blogs with PR rating or any blog will do?I know its gonna sound very funny but would u mind addin my blog link? But if it affects ur Blog rating then don add. Thanks!

    Any backlinks will work but the higher the PR rating from the blog or website the better ratings you receive from Google. If it is a link exchange supposedly the links cancel out.

    Installed it into my root directory and used my Go Daddy free forum service powered by SMF

    I have to disagree with the first poster here - ‘build it and they will come’ is certainly not the way to go about building online communities!

    If you want to make an online community a success, you have to be prepared to put in a huge amount of work.

    In my opinion though, the potential rewards are more than worth the effort.

    Yes very true because people do not like being first (empty forum) so they will not come and yes it does take a lot of work know matter what you are trying to achieve online - since you are like needle in a mega (www) hay stack.

    I think it has a lot to do with the fact it is related to this blog since it is installed in the root directory also - just a guess I’m not a SEO expert.
