I Was Lost in Greek Paradise
Many of you that have been following Geektalk have been in a constant wonder as to where I’d disappeared too since it has been approximately a month since my last post. Well not to worry I’m still here but have been extremely busy with work, studying, family and of course away on holiday in Greece.
So what’s happened in the last thirty days in my world? My job in Belgium is coming to a possible end in the next six months so I’ve been interviewing and applying to new areas thought-out the world. I’ve officially passed my CompTIA A+ certification test so I am now among the certified computer geeks. My daughter has been heavily into the Wii console and I am the number one choice for help with all games especially “Ratatouiee”. My son is turning two this month so birthday party planning, gift buying and keeping up with his energetic needs.
Greece was extremely relaxing a well needed break for both my wife and I. I can highly recommend Paradise Island Villas that we stayed at in Crete, well worth the money. We visited a few places such as Heraklion, Elounda, Hersonissos, and Agios Nikolas which was my favorite place in Crete. My wife even managed to find a new Greek 18k white gold ring that she fell in love with, image that a hidden “love” travel expense (men do not forget to budget for it if you go to Greece because there are loads of Greek designer ring shops around).
I also had a chance to read Blogging Heroes the book I mentioned before. It was an excellent read but if you are new to blogging do not expect the book to have secrets and such from top blogging experts. The number one tip you will receive from all thirty bloggers in the book is that you must be passionate about whatever you intend to blog about because with out it you will certainly fail. Overall I feel the book gives a fundamental top blogging education base and is worth a read.

Looks simply awesome. I’m off to Greece in the Summer too. But I’m going somewhere slightly less cultural. Zante!

Well I had thought you had given up on the blog. I remember sometime ago you were changing it, but glad to see that you’re still here. It’s nice to hear from you.
Oh and seriously how many vacations to you take a month. It seems to me that you are always gone. lol
Funny Paul, yes I guess it would appear that way to readers. We live in Belgium and my wife is British so we are in the London area several times a year. Then our holidays consist of one without our kids and one with them. Then there’s my work which takes me to Germany here and there for training and job related things.
Upcoming travel – Germany end of June for a week then in September it’s Marbella Spain for two weeks holiday (kids) and lastly a weekend trip to Champagne France (time unscheduled)
Looks like a really cool place to visit and the company looked good too!
Nice accommodations, better then my condo. Did you actually get a chance to do some boating? I have a sailboat, and have often thought about sailing the Greek Islands. Couldn’t help but notice the boats in pictures backgrounds.
Good to see you are back. You both look great in the picture, I’m jealous!
I hope the job hunt goes well. May you find something that gives you the freedom you have now to enjoy your travels. Your newly acquired certification will definitely help in that regard!
Maybe you should change your route to Croatia or Turkey. They got much more to offer than Greece. More friendlier people too.
Nice to have you back. I must also express my amazement at the number of things that you seem to be able to do! I wish I could.

Greece is indeed a wonderful place. Greece is a vacation paradise. Glad to see you made it to Greece.
This year i visited Lefkada. It’s a wonderful island. I have been in Krete (Hrakleio) too. The only problem is that you can’t decide which is the best place to go each year
Greece is a place where i would love to spend my vacation with friends whenever i get time…
You look like a lucky guy !! In more ways than one :0 I hope to get to Greece someday too.
i have been in Krete (Hrakleio) too. The only problem is that you can’t decide which is the best place to go each year

very quality your website
The Internet is a lot more popular than TV these days, but agree that it really isn’t a fair fight when you consider people access the Internet during work or even work online completely.
The Internet is a better source of news and entertainment than programmes on television. The information availability is the most desirable feature of the Internet, with online shopping and chat as the most popular.
I’m very happy for your good words about Greece. Hope you come back again and explore and other Greek islands.Thanks.
Man that looks like a blast, I need to go there. Passive income baby!
Nate
wow what great treasures you have found on such a wonderful trip!

Greek looks beautiful! I wish to go there with my boyfriend someday!
Looks like you had a great time, I would like to visit a place like that for the vacation…
Greece seems like a beautiful place to live or vacation. I don’t hear about too many people going there for vacation, perhaps because it’s so expensive and reserved only for those fortunate enough to afford it. I’d never considered Greece as a vacation spot, but based on your experience, it’s definitely on my dream vacation list.
Well..I think you had some good days in your vacation.Greece is one my favorite place where I like to go for vacation.
greece is really great, but you definately need a car, coz is really big island specially for european travellers
I love to visit Greece. It is absolutely beautiful. There are also a lot of places I like to visit and it makes it easy when you get a vacation rental.
Looks like a great place. Boats look nice. Did you hire one?
I literally got lost there last year! We went on a hiking trip with two friends and we wouldn’t do without the interlecta mobile translator on the blackberry of one of them. Young people in towns are ager to speak English but those in villages…well, this is a topic for another discussion. Nature is really great but if I understood a word of what people were saying, it would be realy freat
It looks like you had a great time, I went to crete recently and was blown away by the heat!
I also had to yunanai, indeed unique in many cultures there.

Greece is a magica place. Full of amazing scenery and views. People are SO friendly that makes tou wanna stay there for ever.. Turkey was the opposite.. i suggest Greece 100%

Greece is awesome, and corfu? State of the ART!
I’m going back again next summer.
I plan on going to crete too someday…
Greece is one of my favorite places ever. lets face it great food , good drinks and hot girls. not to mention as far as europe goes pretty affordable. Though Athens is a dump i still like it there.
Agios Nikolaos is a fantastic place to visit in summer, in Greece.
Thanks for suggesting that Paradise Island Villa is a good place to live…. Im there may be beginning of next yr and will look into this
Cheers
Chris
My friend, you are talking about a turn of the century American artist named Maxfield Parrish. He painted oils on canvas and worked with watercolor to do illustrations for magazines. It was his magazine illustrations that brought him fame starting in the 1920s.
