I Was Lost in Greek Paradise
Many of you that have been following Geektalk have been in a constant wonder as to where I’d disappeared too since it has been approximately a month since my last post. Well not to worry I’m still here but have been extremely busy with work, studying, family and of course away on holiday in Greece.
So what’s happened in the last thirty days in my world? My job in Belgium is coming to a possible end in the next six months so I’ve been interviewing and applying to new areas thought-out the world. I’ve officially passed my CompTIA A+ certification test so I am now among the certified computer geeks. My daughter has been heavily into the Wii console and I am the number one choice for help with all games especially “Ratatouiee”. My son is turning two this month so birthday party planning, gift buying and keeping up with his energetic needs.
Greece was extremely relaxing a well needed break for both my wife and I. I can highly recommend Paradise Island Villas that we stayed at in Crete, well worth the money. We visited a few places such as Heraklion, Elounda, Hersonissos, and Agios Nikolas which was my favorite place in Crete. My wife even managed to find a new Greek 18k white gold ring that she fell in love with, image that a hidden “love” travel expense (men do not forget to budget for it if you go to Greece because there are loads of Greek designer ring shops around).
I also had a chance to read Blogging Heroes the book I mentioned before. It was an excellent read but if you are new to blogging do not expect the book to have secrets and such from top blogging experts. The number one tip you will receive from all thirty bloggers in the book is that you must be passionate about whatever you intend to blog about because with out it you will certainly fail. Overall I feel the book gives a fundamental top blogging education base and is worth a read.

Looks simply awesome. I’m off to Greece in the Summer too. But I’m going somewhere slightly less cultural. Zante!

Well I had thought you had given up on the blog. I remember sometime ago you were changing it, but glad to see that you’re still here. It’s nice to hear from you.
Oh and seriously how many vacations to you take a month. It seems to me that you are always gone. lol
Funny Paul, yes I guess it would appear that way to readers. We live in Belgium and my wife is British so we are in the London area several times a year. Then our holidays consist of one without our kids and one with them. Then there’s my work which takes me to Germany here and there for training and job related things.
Upcoming travel - Germany end of June for a week then in September it’s Marbella Spain for two weeks holiday (kids) and lastly a weekend trip to Champagne France (time unscheduled)
Looks like a really cool place to visit and the company looked good too!
Nice accommodations, better then my condo. Did you actually get a chance to do some boating? I have a sailboat, and have often thought about sailing the Greek Islands. Couldn’t help but notice the boats in pictures backgrounds.
Good to see you are back. You both look great in the picture, I’m jealous!
I hope the job hunt goes well. May you find something that gives you the freedom you have now to enjoy your travels. Your newly acquired certification will definitely help in that regard!
Maybe you should change your route to Croatia or Turkey. They got much more to offer than Greece. More friendlier people too.
Nice to have you back. I must also express my amazement at the number of things that you seem to be able to do! I wish I could.
