Celebrity Gossip Gets Boring
Maybe you’ve noticed or maybe not. I’ve just started this personal blog at the beginning of February 2007. When my wife and I first enter the blog world we started out in fashion related blogging and then worked or way into celebrity.
I started this personal blog because I got bored of celebrity gossip and to be honest just could not be bother to find another article about who’s boobs are bigger and who’s nose is now smaller.
Ja Kel Daily started out as Fashion by Ja Kel and we used the well none blogger free hosting blogging software owned by Google. Well maybe you’ve heard but around two months ago blogger allowed the use of your own domain by inputting there hosting address in your cname panel.
When I started Ja Kel Daily Dot Com this added an angle I had not thought about. Since we had already started using http://www.jakeldaily.com for our celebrity blog what would I use now for the new personal blog I wanted to start.
After giving it much thought I came up with the idea of using http://jakeldaily.com and since our celebrity blog is using blogger hosting I was able to upload the wordpress directly into the root directory and it works.
So now when you go to the famous technorati you will notice that our domain has both my articles from this blog and my wife’s from her celebrity blog. The best thing about this is that both our blogs are working together to receive links for our domain name. Since the domain is set up for jakeldaily domain the link on technorati links to the personal blog site and not the jakel celebrity blog since it is hosted on blogger and only forwarded from the blogspot address.
The draw back to this is we started out with the blogspot address and now are using our own domain now. The reason this is a draw back is because as you can see there are 67 blogs linking to the blogspot address and already 21 linking to our new domain in two months time. So we have a total of 88 blogs linking to us but or new technorati ranking does not reflect this because it is as if we have just started since our blogs are using the new domain name address.
The blogspot address ranking should not be getting anymore links since the new address for blogger is http://www.jakedaily.com and so therefore it is pretty much finished and we just have to continue working on our new ranking for http://jakeldaily.com. However there is a solution to this but it will take some time and that is to email the 67 sites that are linking to the old address and have them update their link to our new domain which I intend to do eventually when I get a chance. If you are wondering about the 844 links a big majority of them are related to picture linking from the jakel celebrity blog and the forum.

More and more websites on gossip are popping up everyday and the same news get churned out of these sites…
