How Different Are You
In my personal opinion this is a question that you must ask yourself when running a blog site. According to technorati there are 70 million blogs out there already and a study in 2006 showed that 100,000 were being created each day I’m unsure how many are being created as to date.
For the key term celebrity gossip a Google search returns 6.9 million results now not all of these are blogs of course but this is the competition that our entertainment portion is up against. The Geektalk section of Ja Kel Daily is for the most part whatever I feel like posting about since it’s my personal blog but predominately I talk about tech related things and if you Google anything related the results are an astounding 300 million or more if it’s a generic term. Anyway you get the point, I hope.
Yes Anything Could Happen
It’s been a few days now since I went to the barber shop to get my monthly cut. While waiting “Inc.” magazine with a Twitter headline caught my eye and since my number one hate is wasting time I decided to have a read.
Initially when I picked the magazine up I was actually thinking it was a tech related magazine but in fact it is designed for the entrepreneur. I was so impressed with my read and the overall material I decided to pay for a subscription which was only $9.97 for twelve issues.
Yes, I know you can read thousands of websites for free on such material but there is just something about picking up a magazine and a cup of coffee and having a great read wherever the place may be at the time.
Blogging Book “Blogging Heroes”
Sixteen days six since my last post the longest time period since the start of my personal blog “geektalk” in February 2007. At the moment the family and I are in England again for a week visiting family.

Move from Blogger to Wordpress
If you were to ask what was the biggest blogging mistake I’ve made since the start back in February 2006. It would be I wished that I had started out with my own domain instead of using the free hosting and blog software of Blogger.com.
When we first launched Ja Kel Daily on fashionbyjakel.blogspot.com around two years ago I was unaware of the future problems this would cause us. I have considered many times to move the blog to a self-hosted service using the Wordpress blogging platform but the fear of losing search engine traffic, Google PageRank and RSS subscribers has always stopped me in my tracks.
Income Report December 2007
The ending and the beginning of a new year of blogging! This income will be the starting point for all monthly income reports to come. In the past I have posted a few income reports but I have never been consistent on a monthly basics. Before February, Ja Kel Daily was simply an experimental blog that we intended to use for traffic to our online clothing store.
Checking In from England
I finally got some time to set down and make an update. We’ve been really busy spent the weekend in London “wife’s 30th birthday”. Today was our daughter’s evening out for dinner “tgi fridays” and a movie “Bee” at the BlueWater mall (Europes largest mall). The rest of the week in England will consist of spending time with relatives, with the possibility of making a business trip to Cambridge.
London was great and expensive as usually but I’ve gotten used to the currency robbery, costing 2 (dollars) to 1 (pound) since we visit quite often. If you have kids our daughter loved the Bee movie it was a great evening out.

It’s that time year again! The annual holiday that celebrates Commercialization Sales to kids and adults alike. Anyway have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year (2008). See you next year!
