News confirms that Spears’ fiance has petitioned to be added by the court as the pop singer’s co-conservator, along with her father Jamie Spears. Jamie has held legal control over Britney since early 2008, when her downward spiral left her incapable of handling her finances or medical decisions.
Jason Trawick will soon become Britney Spears’ husband and now he hopes to also take on a legal role in her life as well. E! News reports that Trawick, 40, has filed papers to petition to be added by a California court as one of the singer’s conservators. If his petition is approved, Trawick — who began dating Spears, 30, in 2009 — will have control over her well-being, while her father, Jamie, will retain full control over her finances. Jamie Spears has held legal control over his songbird daughter and her millions since 2008.
