Blog Rush Train Are You on It?

Certainly a lot of hype at the moment over the new Blog Rush widget and many bloggers seem to be in agreement that they are willing to give it a shot.

Since its launch on the 15th a great deal of real blogrush buss has been radiating from this new service that helps bloggers find new readers.

My initial impression is that it’s worth giving a try but the widget is not customizable at all so you are limited as to where you can place it on your site. Give and take situation, just deal with the look and size if you really want some extra potential free traffic.

How does it work?
Sign up and just copy the javascript onto your site and with in 48 hours your stats will start displaying in you BlogRush dashboard.  Each time the widgets receives a page view from your site you earn a ‘credit’ and in return for this credit your site will receive a headline on another related site from which you choose the category in the signup process.

Add the FREE widget on the left to your blog and a have your posts automatically promoted on related blogs across the Internet. Watch the video or read more to learn how this powerful service works to exponentially grow your blog’s traffic.

Will it produce traffic?
I personally have never been a click through person when it comes to widgets.  The difference with this widget is it shows related articles from your site and with the right headline curiosity will get the reader. The funny thing is that even though I’m not a click through person I found myself wanting to click one of the articles after installation.

Since you receive credit for every pageview and credits from up to ten others that sign up under you the possibility for extra traffic flow is there for the taking.  Give BlogRush a try it’s free what’s the worst that can happen – you get free traffic and if you do not like it the code isn’t permanent just delete later.

FYI: if you’re wondering how I added a working widget to my post I placed the Blogrush javascript in my adsense deluxe plugin section and then added the plugin code to my post the same as you would add an adsense ad. That method works for most all java script you need added to a post.

Thanks Jason for your review on BlogRush. I installed yesterday. Well to be frank, I afraid it will make my blog slow at page uploads. My Blog provides information and resources related to Affilite Marketing and Best Home Business Opportunities. My blog is full of profit pulling ideas and widgets. So, it is slow. I afraid after updation of the BlogRush widget, it will make my blog more slower. Is not it? Please comment .. LOL

Yes it’s true javascript does slow your site down and you should try and limit the amount you use.

    Hi Jason,

Some says JavaScript Badges And Widgets Considered Harmful.
But on behalf of the provider It has purposes: One of the purpose of these widgets and badges is drop in functionality. They don’t want things to break. Less the implementor controls, the less that can break. Nobody wants to hold someones hands while they get used to the code. This is a good way on JavaScript badges and widgets.

And I think this free widgets could drive more readers to your blog. So I does make sense.

Not a single click from this thing and 1946 pageviews! My review of it is over and I’ve already deleted from my side bar but will leave it in this post. That’s it and once it’s off the front page it’s history.

When my wife saw it it on the site she said it’s in your face and could not wait for it to be taken off the site.

The problem with BlogRush is that people put the widget way down the page(to keep readers from clicking away,of course). That is the biggest reason click through is extremely bad, 90% of users never scroll down to the bottom of the page.
