BizRate – Premium Ads Mention
Today, I wanted to give mention to my first direct premium ads sell that was purchased by BizRate with contract for one year, for undisclosed price. Before you ask, they contacted me in relation to contracting a premium ad and I am not at liberty to give out contact information from their advertising department.
However what I can say (in opinion) is that they do have a minimum requirement of PR4 and their advertisement team must be on the look out for great up and coming sites such as mine for great advertisement exposure. Lucky me Right!
Maybe you have noticed this section in the top position of my tool bar. The premium ads section is an advertisement feature that I came up with for my site to sell ads directly basically cutting out the middle man such as; Text Link Ads and ReviewMe. However highly recommend both of those companies because they work hard to supply your site with customers that your site would not receive if it were not for them!
BizRate is operated by Shopzilla, a leading comparison shopping service founded in 1996. The company’s mission is to enable shoppers to quickly and easily find compare and buy anything, sold by virtually anyone, anywhere. Each month, Shopzilla connects millions of consumers with thousands of stores. In June 2006, Shopzilla attracted over 18.9 million unique visitors according to ComScore. Shopzilla also operates the BizRate consumer feedback network that collects millions of consumer reviews of stores and products each year.
In 2005, Shopzilla was acquired by The E. W. Scripps Company (NYSE: SSP) and is now part of its interactive media division. Shopzilla operates websites serving consumers and retailers in the U.S., U.K., French and German markets’
The Get My Ads button represents the size of advertisement I am aiming at selling for my premium ads section and the measurements are 150 x 37. I am sure that you have already noticed that the BizRate advertisement is three times that size in length but it says within the width specs I require. Just as I have noted in my Get My Ads advertisement section I am open for discussion on larger formats just email to make arrangements with me.
When I first came up with my premium ads section my goal was to sell 5 buttons in total (reason: keeps my featured links close to the top – for good site position). Now that BizRate is taking space for three positions yes you’ve guessed it there are only 2 positions left in the premium side bar position available for the next year or one larger ad.
If luck has not knocked on your site yet when researching their company I did notice that they have an affiliate program here. I am not member of it since it is a conflict of interest with the paid advertisement but try it out if you like or comment on it if your are already using the program.

Nice! That’s a pretty sweet deal. Hopefully some day I can actaully SELL ad space and not give it away for free lol.
