Away in Salobrena Spain
Yes, I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted. I sincerely apologize to my regular readers but as you know my life has been in a seriously busy state. Quick update: on holiday taking a two week break in Salobrena Spain with my family, I’ve since become certified in Network+, Security+, A+ and MCP (main reason I have not been posting – studying, sucks), Interviewing for upcoming jobs in next two months (“very competitive” still unsure what part of the world we will be in next – will update as soon as I get the job acceptance), rent or sell our house in Belgium (stress), and basically all the unknown that comes in the upcoming days that we are faced with.Anyway here’s a few pics from my Spain holiday and will be posting again soon!

I hope your holiday fun and enjoy
Congrats on your certification and good luck with the interviews. Sounds like a hectic time in your life but I’m sure it’ll be more than worth it in a few months.
Hey Jake, make sure you do not forget to see the castles. They are awesome out there and one of the best landmarks spain has to offer!
You got to spend two weeks in Salobrena Spain? Judging by the pics it looks like thats right on the coast.
Wow that looks awesome!!…Congrats on the certifications
Well Best of luck on the job search and the sight seeing.
You’ve been studying really hard, 4 certification exams in a row is something above my understanding. I have forgotten my student’s life and seem to be unable to learn great amounts of information in a short period of time or when under stress…
PS: Your vacation photos are beautiful!
Spain!!! Lucky, it looks beautiful good luck with the job search.
It looks like a nice little place. I’ve been to Barcelona, but never visited the beach. Seems like I missed a lot.
Great pictures and it sounds like you have a lot on your plate. I have never been to Spain and can’t wait for a few more pictures.

Yeah I agree with Paul. When everyone starts using another search engine only then will I consider moving.
Jake, that first pic is amazing. Considering I rarely leave the state of Ohio, I appreciate it when I get to live vicariously thru others such as yourself. Thanks!
aww, nice pics so cute
I’ve been there two months ago and I can tell it’s BEAUTIFUL!
Hope you have fun there as much as I
It seems awesome and best of luck for your job search. It a tough time with your career and you need to fight against it . Life is made of hardship and you need to broke all of these.
Nice vacation pictures. I like the coastal view one the best. Looks like a very peaceful place for a vacation. Sounds like you’ve been really busy otherwise! Selling/renting a house is stressful, we’re going through the same thing! Good luck with your jobs and everything.
It looks like a nice little place. I’ve been to Barcelona, but never visited the beach.
Nice pics and nice place to be. I traveled through Spain eons ago and loved the landscape and the people. It was always sunny and warm which helped too I guess. I suppose much would have changed since then but my favorite place was Barcelona.
what a wonderful view!!
That looks awesome! Congrats for the certificate. I hope you’ll have fun there. Spain is very beautiful country.
Looks great… I’ve never made it to Spain, but I’ve been meaning to.
p.s. Might want to go easy on the “Justify” text above the pics
Thanks on the justify tip – I must have done it on accident when I added the extra four pics..
It looks like you’re having a great time in Spain. I look forward to more posts from you when you return.
Warmly,

I love Spain, especially the coast. Portugal was nice too, although we found it a little windier on the atlantic coast compared to the mediterranean side of Spain.
Make me miss living in Europe!
wow. would love to be able to visit spain eventually…
Congrats on your certification and good luck with the interviews. Sounds like a hectic time in your life but I’m sure it’ll be more than worth it in a few months.
I finally got some job offers and looks like Germany or Belgium just waiting to see which offer is better for us will have more details in a few more weeks.
So we will be in Europe another 3-5 years before we make the move back to the States, but of course who can really tell in that time frame – may not ever make it back to States since I’ve been living in Europe now for 6 years.
Hey i was in Salobrena last year it`s cool, nice pictures by the way and your blog is nice too.
Judging by the pics it looks like thats right on the coast.
Salobrena – been there twice before – reminds me to book my holiday in Spain for 2009 – great photos!
I wish you best of luck on the job searching!!! But it won’t be so hard cuz you’re in spain…. with that spetacular view things become easier
My ancestors are form Spain and i have never been there, on my to do list now
Congratulations! We had been thinking of going there for sometime now, glad to see a fellow blogger visiting there and posting the pictures. This will certainly motivate us to go there this time.
You can’t miss it as you drive along the N340 coastal road. Travellers bound for other destinations find themselves compelled to take a detour into Salobreña when they spot this appealing whitewashed town clinging to the sides of an imposing rocky outcrop, crowned by a magnificent medieval castle.
The curious simply can’t resist the temptation of entering those narrow, winding streets and making their way up the cobbled steps towards the 10th century Moorish stronghold.
Congrats on your certification and good luck with the interviews. Sounds like a hectic time in your life but I’m sure it’ll be more than worth it in a few months.
The problem with this is most people are getting the same content. They just get it from a different source ie the internet. A lot of people also watch television on their computer.
I live in Spain and wouldn’t have it any other day.
Looks like a beautiful location. I really regret not having been back to Spain for a few years now. Well, I’ll be taking my business mobile this year, so hopefully I’ll get three months there in and amongst. God I need some warm weather.

I’m off Thursday afternoons, so I like to surf around different blogs and read posts that catch my eye. Your post really hit home for me. I was not sure how I felt about it at first but after reading your post I think I would have to agree. Just wondering though? What exactly did you mean at the end in the last paragraph?
Nice pics you have here. I’m going to Spain next month and I just can’t wait. It’s been quite a tough year and I think it’ll be well deserved holiday for us. We’re going first to Barcelona and then we’ll move more south. As soon as I’m back I’ll upload some photos. Cheers!
