AdSense and AdBrite Same Page

Ok this is a topic that I have actually been avoiding for some time because I was unsure on the matter and to be honest was too lazy to look more into it.  Yesterday after much research here is the conclusion I have come too on displaying both AdSense and AdBrite on the same page.

It can be done if the ads are in a different format and color. The AdSense ads on this site are in format 300 x 250 White/DarkBlue and this is the only format I have chosen to use. I joined AdBrite nearly a year ago and in the past I was only using them or AdSense because of Google’s TOS and I was under the impression that it was against the rules.

Frequently asked question: I’m a publisher. Can I use AdBrite and Google AdSense on the same page?
Answer: We’re okay with it. We believe you should have the right to control your own site, so AdBrite has no exclusivity requirements. As for Google’s stance, lot’s of publishers use AdBrite and AdSense on the same page, and so far we haven’t seen any problems arise.

AdSense Competitive Ads and Services:
In order to prevent user confusion, we do not permit Google ads or search boxes to be published on websites that also contain other ads or services formatted to use the same layout and colors as the Google ads or search boxes on that site. Although you may sell ads directly on your site, it is your responsibility to ensure these ads cannot be confused with Google ads.

A brief background of AdBrite it started in 2001 formerly known as HttpAds, then MarketBanker.  The goal behind AdBrite was to sell ad links your websites with a specified time frame. Then around 2 years later AdSense came about a major competitor against all who desire to make it in contextual link sells.

So, conclusion I have added an AdBrite Ad section available on my side bar lower bottom above my recent readers in format 150×240  Gray/DarkBlue.  In compliance with what I have read above from both AdBrite and AdSense rules.

Research the topic – comment and let me know if you have confused my Adbrite ad for AdSense!

Yes that is true but that was not my statement to use AdBrite only. I have always stated use a mix and I intend to test them out now that I no it is ok.

It’s all a little hazy isn’t it? I love the way Google claim they don’t want people to confuse their ads with anyone else’s (even though they have a nice graphical ‘Google’ logo alongside the ads they serve). Call me pessimistic but it smells a little like protectionism to me!

Jason, you could always contact the AdSense team and ask them if it’s ok or not. I’m pretty sure you’re right but if you make a lot of money off adsense it’s usually better safe than sorry.

Well considering that AdSense units are not signed with a fancy “Ads by Google” graphic, highlighted in border colour… it’s kind of difficult to mistake others for it.

Yes seems really hazy actually. When I set up the AdBrite ad it stated 24 hours for ads to appear and they still have not so maybe it’s not even going to work on my tool bar.

Ok, well since the AdBrite ads have not shown up today I am just going to go with the Adsense link ad that you are allowed along with three other AdSense ads on the same page.

hmm.. For my blog, adbrite did not really convert for me as compared to adsense even though I had the toggled the same placement for it. I dumped the earlier.

I know this is an old subject but there isn’t anything out there close to AdSense just focus on content and Ad placement and don’t bother with the other companies

Adbrite is good for a lot of impression or visitor sites. So displaying some adbrite ads on a page is better, is it right? However, I prefer to use different page for adsense and adbrite.I just worry my account banned by google adsense.
Correct me if I am wrong.
