John Chow AdSense Ad On My Site
I wanted to point out this AdSense ad my on my site for the simple fact people still feel it is necessary to comment on the fact that I used the same free Wordpress template that John Chow uses, so our sites are the same and I am some sort of copy cat. That’s right the template that around 40,000 people are using and John wasn’t the first more than likely. What’s that saying if isn’t broke don’t try and fix it. Well same goes for the template people like it so why waste time looking for another one?
As for the speed linking reviews I came up with my own version for which I use and now people copy me. Would I comment on this fact no and if you notice John Chow doesn’t waste his time commenting on people using and revising his ideas. His ideas and mine for that matter are there for the taking (free) learn from them, revise and work hard to make your site successful.
Ok let’s see recap BizRate just advertise directly for a year and now I see that this site is also good enough for John Chow. Oh and almost forgot – that’s right this site is a PR5 now! It’s more than ok though to keep the copy cat comments rolling in I enjoy them, good for a laugh. Yes a little sarcastic I know but I felt that I was entitle to be somewhat.

Shocked! Google just started their PageRank update a few days ago and guess what this blog has gone from a PR4 to PR5. I am unsure as to how soon that all data centers will start posting the new rankings. I have the Google tool bar and this sites ratings are reflected on it. If you do not have Google tool bar you can check here.
As you already know a higher PageRank makes a site a lot more valuable and in most cases more expensive to respected advertisers. Only two weeks ago I was approved for Text Link Ads and currently they sell for $20 and I am really curious to see if this bumps the price up.

The title that I have used for this article is one that is used quite often because of the simple fact that it is a very successful title that does the trick.

The rules I will do a short review around 30 words with a link to your site with choice of anchor text choice. The batch will be posted starting with the first review and then updated until reaching the 10th review and then a new batch will be created. Then once a month for the next 6 months from February I will post one full review to the holder of the Top Commentators position. BizRate – Premium Ads Mention
Today, I wanted to give mention to my first direct premium ads sell that was purchased by BizRate with contract for one year, for undisclosed price. Before you ask, they contacted me in relation to contracting a premium ad and I am not at liberty to give out contact information from their advertising department.
However what I can say (in opinion) is that they do have a minimum requirement of PR4 and their advertisement team must be on the look out for great up and coming sites such as mine for great advertisement exposure. Lucky me Right!
Maybe you have noticed this section in the top position of my tool bar. The premium ads section is an advertisement feature that I came up with for my site to sell ads directly basically cutting out the middle man such as; Text Link Ads and ReviewMe. However highly recommend both of those companies because they work hard to supply your site with customers that your site would not receive if it were not for them!

The Get My Ads button represents the size of advertisement I am aiming at selling for my premium ads section and the measurements are 150 x 37. I am sure that you have already noticed that the BizRate advertisement is three times that size in length but it says within the width specs I require. Just as I have noted in my Get My Ads advertisement section I am open for discussion on larger formats just email to make arrangements with me.
When I first came up with my premium ads section my goal was to sell 5 buttons in total (reason: keeps my featured links close to the top – for good site position). Now that BizRate is taking space for three positions yes you’ve guessed it there are only 2 positions left in the premium side bar position available for the next year or one larger ad.
If luck has not knocked on your site yet when researching their company I did notice that they have an affiliate program here. I am not member of it since it is a conflict of interest with the paid advertisement but try it out if you like or comment on it if your are already using the program.
HitTail Long Tail Concept
I am sure that some of you have already heard about this but I wanted to give it a mention since I finally got the time to test it out. Many of you that have been following my blog know that I have been on a joint mission to get into the top 10,000 of Technorati and to also get my foot onto the front page of Google for the search term Make Money.
Unfortunately I am no where near making it to the front page for Make Money on Google but however I am on my way to making the top 10,000 fairly soon, rating as writing this article 27,717 with 1256 links.
Since getting back from holiday the past few days I have been testing out a new service called HitTail. Basically the concept behind this service is that it helps increase your site’s search engine traffic by informing you of what the long tail keywords are that you can start using through our your articles and titles.
Simple to install after you sign up just input the given code into your site and then HitTail will start tracking your search engine traffic static’s and breaking it into long tail; search hits, suggestions, keywords categories.
The long tail is an economic concept that says the collective demand for less-popular items (in green) can exceed the all the most popular added together (in red). Online music stores are a perfect example because they can carry large collections of music just as easily as just a small selection. The product is digital and there are no inventory issues. So, the pay-per-click industry is now using this concept to encourage you to run ever-larger keyword buys. Their inventory of obscure, yet valuable keywords is inexhaustible. But the dirty secret of keyword marketing is that the longtail concept applies even better to un-paid search, and can eventually free you from your paid keyword campaigns. How?
Still a little confused from the above ok simple example of what they are talking about would be, “Dell XPS M1210 Vista.” a long tail search phrase so basically just more info. The normal keyword search phrases however would be “M1210” and that’s it. It’s actually funny because most of your traffic does not even come from the short phrases it comes from the crazy long tail info that you probably would have never dreamt of using for SEO.
So directly to the point in most cases the long tail searches give you the higher chances of generating traffic therefore HitTail can be a very valuable tool when used correctly! As with most great services they over a free plan to the sites that do not make it over 100,000 visits for the month and if you do need more just pay $49.95 per month.

Back From Holiday In The Maldives
I’m back now from our holiday in the Maldives but at the moment I am still in London. So unfortunately it will be tomorrow before I am able to post some pics of our trip since I forgot my camera USB adapter. I’ve caught up on all the comments today and thanks for not being too upset with the fact I was unable to fill the last four days with time stamped written articles.
Anyway our holiday was great got a lot of sun while in the Indian Ocean and spent a load of money – if you forgot to give to my holiday fund I do not have a donate button on this site but you can paypal the money to admin@jakeldaily.com. Just joking!

I wanted to keep this article short and to the point and the categories above are self explanatory. Remember building a blogging profile does not happen over night and those of you that are thinking a blog is the answer to quitting your day job should think twice.
My experience so far a total of 13 months counting the 2 months for this blog is that the opportunities are only now starting to come in for us. Opportunities will come but they come to those that are very persistence in this industry. Definitely not over night or a get rich fast scheme (dream).
A note to the wise: those that are making a killing in revenue have been on the net in some way for many years not just a blog.
Make Money with A Lasting First Impression
Do you want more traffic? One of the best ways to get that traffic is to get linked from other blogs. If your blog is new, most of the people coming to your site will not even know who you are or for that matter what you blog is about, so you need to make a great first impression. This was actually pointed out to me by a reader around three weeks ago when she told me that my header
image was very boring and my quote was to confusing so I changed it to the present Ferrari Header which has been making a good first impression ever since.
You only get one chance to make that first impression and you need to insure that you have your visitor’s full attention so that they stay longer than the estimated thirty seconds. This will also aid in getting other blogs to feel compelled to link to your site, which generates that traffic you want coming in. Here are some good tips that may help you out:
- 1. Include your photo: I do it with my top image header me setting in the Ferrari looking directly at the readers and another photo of my wife and me on the about page . There are millions of blogs out there floating around in internet space without an editor picture and name. Readers appreciate it if you have taken the time to show them what you are about and who you are. Make sure to make this easy to find on your blog do not hide it at the bottom surrounded by 100 ads.
- 2. Create an about page: This is something that every blog should have, detailed page that talks about you the editor of the blog. You can include such things as; accomplishments, failures, hobbies, interests, job and many more that you care to add. You are looking to make a connection with people and without this page how do you expect them to relate to you. You can make this page however you like as you can see I have not put accomplishments on my page I wanted to keep it short and I think reading a mile long list of accomplishment is boring.
- 3. Create a top posts page: A top posts page makes the statement to the readers that this is the best you have to offer. It makes it easy for readers to look down the list and pick out an article that most interested them instead of having to search forever for it. People want fast service their way – just like the Burger King motto “Your Way Right Away”.
- 4. Just be yourself: Last but not least it’s your blog and that gives you the right to write about anything you want. I’ve said it before now I am saying it again never distort your views and opinions on an article just because you are afraid of what someone may say or an advertiser has paid you for the post. The best policy is just being yourself, open and upfront with your readers. Once again never be afraid to write what you want. Your blog belongs to you no one else.

Effective Balance Adds Success
I have always felt the true meaning of a balanced life has to do with how you actually feel and not the actual material success you have accomplished. We are surrounded by commercials, programs and advertisement that
stress the importance of material gain. These material accomplishments in my opinion will never give you true meaningful balance in your life. Why do you think it is that there are so many financially successful people out there and they are still unhappy with their life?
1. Early Start
My day starts at 5:00a.m every morning not including weekends and I have noticed this has given me the time that adds the extra balance I need in my day. I used to stay up later in the past but I have noticed that now I find myself going to sleep around 10:30pm since waking up earlier. So anyway when I wake up, I have a shower and take care of my personal hygiene. Afterwards I have a Vive drink not sure they are available in the states or not but basically it’s a health drink that gives you half of your fruit and vegetable intake for the day. Getting this early start gives me a feeling of being more energetic and an overall feeling of being more productive in my day.
2. Exercise and Breakfast
I leave for work at 5:50 a.m and arrive at 6:15am for my personal fitness program to maintain my health and fitness goals. Monday is arm and abs day, I focus on triceps, biceps and shoulders then 100 reps on the abs machine. Tuesday is chest day three targeted chest exercises and then 15 minutes on the elliptical cardio machine. Wednesday is back and abs two targeted back exercises and 100 reps of abs again. Thursday is my day off and then Friday is leg day one targeted exercises per leg muscle.
Also after each work out I follow this with 15-20 minutes in the sauna and then a cool shower. I want to add what a relaxing experience the sauna gives to your entire body and it is key to leaving your work out with an overall relaxed feeling. Directly after I go to my office early and have a banana, Power bar and large Evian water. The 30 minutes I spend in my office eating breakfast gives time to reflect on general thoughts I have for the day or future and read up on the latest news.
3. Personalize Workspace
Since most of us spend the majority of our workday at our office or work related area I feel it is extremely important to add the balance you need by personalizing your space. Personalization will give a feeling of being relaxed at work and typically transforms your abilities to stay focused. Pictures of your family or pets give the feeling of being close to them without actually being there. The idea behind personalization of your workspace is if you feel balanced and happy then your productivity will remain in a high status.
4. Effective Communication
Communication is the most important aspect of adding the right balance to your life. Using effective communication in your family, work and social life will add an invaluable amount of balance that is needed to be happy and maintain high productivity. I give my wife credit for teaching me how important this really is especially in marriage. If you are unable to effectively communicate with the person you love then how will you ever accomplish this in the other areas of life. You should always understand and know the person you are communicating with because if you do not you effectiveness will definitely be a lost cause. So always try to learn as much as possible about colleagues or people you are interested in effectively speaking to and getting you point across successfully.
